Arm

I think it is getting interesting when two of the OSCE examiners mentioned about how different I looked in my student ID. Oh well, we use the exact same picture when we were all 18 years old. Now that I am 25, is not that logic?

What made it more obvious was because my cheeks are way less chubby. Now I knew why H had this shocking expression when she saw me during our gathering at my house a couple of years ago. That was the result of living tough life in Cairo, baby!

I should probably take albendazole, followed by Appeton Weight Gain and eating proper food. Haha. Then of course, more exercise to increase my stamina.

Apart from climbing up and down 9 flights of stairs every day, the last time I actually did exercise was during a trip to Bahriya, if arm wrestling does even counts.

Andrology was good. Dermatology? I felt sorry for the sweet professor who had to listen to my silly answers. All went smooth at first. After that, when it comes to lichen planus and psoriasis, I got confused.

I read Dermatology just the night before, man. The morning of exam, I only reached the scabies pages. How bad was that? Thankfully I got the vitiligo question too. Thanks to the late Micheal Jackson.

Aku nak lulus, wei!

I Palpated as Many as I Could

Three weeks there, I still did not find any reason to quit Medicine. Although I almost did when I failed to list out all groups of breast carcinoma T4 stage, I still think I want to do this. But lately, couple of days upon arriving Cairo, I doubt if I can be a doctor. I guess it was just part of adaptation from summer vacation mood to going back to Kasr al-Ainy Hospital.

  •      T4a – The tumour has spread into the chest wall
  •      T4b – The tumour has spread into the skin and the breast may be swollen
  •      T4c – The tumour has spread to both the skin and the chest wall
  •      T4d – Inflammatory carcinoma – this is a cancer in which the overlying skin is red, swollen and painful to the touch

I was not alone during the posting. I met new friends. I met female students but they were in other departments. So, most of the time, I hung with three gentlemen as there was no other lady doing General Surgery elective posting. The last female student studying in Czech Republic we met had her last day on my first day there. Then, another male, a junior from Alexandria University came during my second or third week.

That makes one girl and four boys.

Anyways, I could bear with all the medical questions and criticisms from Medical Officers (MO). But this,

Awak dah ada boyfriend?” asked Dr. M, the MO with pleasant aura as she ended her advice about when to get married.

Kena cari dari sekarang.”

I felt like, not only did I failed in cancer staging, I failed in life. That is ridiculous. The equation does not work that way. Somehow, looking at my situation and awkwardness, I hate talking about this topic. Not the right time.

You are a Disease

I felt so lazy to go to hospital tomorrow and guilty not to answer call from F, the Jordan University of Science and Technology  third year student I met at Surgery Clinic when I got back home just after Zuhr prayer and my lunch that Friday. That fellow sure knows how to fit quickly into the hospital's system.

That Friday, I thought I could settle some documentation tasks but I was wrong. I thought I had all the information I needed but apparently, I had none. My fault.

Adik got class at 10.30 am tomorrow. I jokingly persuaded him to skip class. Can't I just follow him everywhere? Hehe. Psycho sister.

By the way, I am trying to plant this idea in my head.

"Laziness is a disease. Do ANYthing to cure it."

We know how not washing hands regularly can worsen nosocomial infection spread. Hence, we wash our hands often. Certain medical students, if not all, they 'know too much'. The more you know, the easier for you to be scared. I myself sometimes hesitant to go out just because I saw one or two trauma cases.

Take another example. We know what danger out there in the dark, in the dim of the night. We don't walk alone on poorly lit streets.

The truth is, I am not sure how these examples relate to what I am trying to say.

Finally, I'll try my best to take step against or avoid any forms of laziness. I'll go to the hospital. May the last week of this elective posting be not wasted. I don't do this every year like some of other students did. So, I am not wasting my time.

Major guilt for my Sunday evening. Just now, I just found out that I've been lining up for toilet the wrong way. Here's what I found. I am sorry for my ignorance. I did not find the rationale behind that way (the right way) of queuing . So I just budged in the old, rude way.

I asked of the people in line, "Why were you all waiting so far away?"
One of the ladies said, "We are queuing."
I was like, "Why not in front of the toilet cubicles?"

They did not know how to explain. Now that I know the reason why it is the most mannered way to queue for the toilet, I'll make amends by not repeating the same uncivilized act.

Curiosity After-effect

Macam trend pula orang post pasal posting elektif di dinding Facebook.
Walaupun hobiku menulis, aku kurang rajin berbuat begitu.

Perangai biasa, sejak zaman sekolah. Sudah terbiasa duduk di sekolah sehingga petang. Dalam kes ni, duduk dengan bahagia di hospital. 'Bahagia'lah sangat. Yang pasti aku tak merana pun. Which means bahagialah kot. Whatever

Write to Distract

Today we sent Adik to UiTM Shah Alam. Only few hours passed, I felt like going back to Shah Alam and be with him, watch him everyday until I return to Cairo. After all, just yesterday, I had to console him about a minor issue. So, just another hug for this sister, please.

Everyday I wished not to miss his moment stepping into the university. I imagined his admission date would be as late as mid September. Well it was not. Feeling accomplished and sad at the same time.

Should have just booked early September to fly back to Cairo so that I wouldn't be alone at home. Okay that's overreacting.

Let's see... My summer journey, apart from the annual must-do Balik Kampung ritual...

- Melaka (Tanjung Kling): wedding
- Kedah: programme, as participants' guide
- Negeri Sembilan: programme, as a participant

Tomorrow, I will be at General Surgery Department of Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang for my elective posting, solo. Or do I have friends in Klang area who care to join? I am nervous.

Speaking about the programme in Seremban, it was more of an exposure than real attachment. I could not agree more when the hospital director mentioned that one day is not enough to be familiar with the hospital system nor learning anything. But the programme fulfilled my expectations anyways.

My group was given Psychiatry Department. You know what, I know nothing about Psychiatry and will only take Psychiatry subject next semester. One thing was for sure, I felt calm in the Psychiatry ward. Even I would love to register myself into that ward. Curiosity, baby. Curiosity.

I knew I could not hide this tiny passion that I had. But due to false facts on this aspect of Medicine, whether by common people or some in medical field (my personal opinion, my limited observation), I kept my mouth shut. When people ask, "What sort of specialist you want to be?", I'll say, "I'm still exploring." Plus, I am equally interested in Surgery too and I don't know which speciality is most ideal for me. I have not go through housemanship. So far, I love every part of medicine. I have not pick any favourites yet.

I hated when they identified my group using references as, "Oh, group yang kes obses basuh toilet tu kan?" Of course the patient that we talked to had nothing to do with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, let alone obsessing about cleaning toilets. That's just an example I made up:

Like, "...contohnya, patient yang obses basuh toilet, blah blah blah..." and the audience laughed although the speaker did not intend to make 'obses basuh toilet' a joke.

What I want to stress here is some of the things that could be embarrassing to our patients. At lunch time, I restricted myself from talking too much about the patient. When a participant asked about our case, I told her the diagnosis and that's it.

Remember something called, 'respect the patient'?

We are still far away from being a professional. We can't even at least PRETEND like one.

Neon Colours for My Precious

We technically done Obstetrics and Gynecology and Paediatrics. I deserved those marks. I'm alarmed despite relieved that they were not lower than last year's grades. I compare grades, not figures. Who compare score figures, right? I wish you can see my bitter smile now. Heh.

I was inspired by a senior saying, "Bawa je buku ke mana-mana." So I did. And I lost it. I lost my precious Paediatrics book which I've highlighted using my precious highlighter pens. Gotta struggle with clean, fresh white book. Luckily, I survived.

Next time, I don't care. Maybe I'll feel stupid and lazy for not carrying my book everywhere, like the others. But I've made my decision. My department textbooks are not going anywhere out of my room. I will allow only reference books or notes. Not my babies a.k.a. department textbooks. Except during summer vacation just in case I had to study in Malaysia (mega laziness).

On second thought, the biggest lesson I've learnt was,

"العلم في الصدور لا في الستور"

I pray that I'll have what it takes to digest whatever inside those thick Internal Medicine and Surgery books. Sixth Year, here I come.

Bleeding Case Twice but Not This

I should post something short inspired by blood. Because we medical students must find five minutes getaway from 'hemoconcentration', 'hematocrite value', 'complete blood count', etc.

For an amateur like me, ideas won't come out easily. So, as soon as something pops into my mind, I will grab whatever in my hands to scribble down. Sticky notes, mini note book and the latest, a file entitled, 'Confidential' in my Samsung Galaxy S3. Well not the latest from Samsung but the newer phone than my humble, simple Nokia.

I accidentally delete everything. I don't know how it happened but it happened, All 'prototypes' survived except this little dark one.

Kids, copying and pasting using keyboards are better than using smartphone. Not that smart, huh?

I can only remember,

"She ran her dagger softly, from the boy's throat downwards. How she smelt like vanilla sedated him. That dagger was neatly secured into his chest."

"She hugged him so hard that her white robe stained with blood, as if not to let one drop on the ground."

"His smile faded but both he and Amaya were happy."

Something I would write for my high school essays. Ah those days.

Despite I lost it, I don't think I'll rewrite the same thing. It won't be the same the second time.

My Man is All Mine

“…I have passion in teaching, blah blah…”

Dr. Gadallah’s energetic introduction enlivened back my ambition to be a lecturer/teaching professor one day. I do not want to be a lecturer because my husband tells me so or because someone wants me to slow down work in the field.

I want to be a person who can help people access information with meaningful understanding. I want it to be fiery passion.

Our lecturers here in Kasr al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine have various techniques to keep us stay awake. Because everyone knows our brain capabilities.

Two hours non-stop monotonous lecture?  I should be thankful enough no epileptic attacks are involved.

I have seen there are quite a number who fall under the ‘X Factor-category’. One of them, Dr. B was fairly witty and knew well to win our hearts. Definitely patients’ favorite doctor, I think.

He interchanged in between that day’s lesson with jokes, personal stories and real-life questions.

“If your husband wants to marry another woman, will you…”

With due respect to women all around the world having rights to choose, I was certain to shriek, “No” but Dr. B left me no option.

“…will you allow him or KILL him?”

Female territory in that small lecture room was mute. Oh doctor, you gave most of us no option. I knew he did not mean ‘kill’ literally. I just prefer “Not allow” over “Kill him”. Gosh.

Then I heard my good friend who recently learnt to curse in English whispered to me, “Go to hell!”, intended for such question. Then, her wicked smile.

I shouldn’t have let her watch that assassin movie.
I think I’ve planted the seed of a potential killer.
 :O

p/s: I thought I was the only mean one. I just love my friend.

Biting the Lips

I realised I had a bad habit. I loved biting my lips. One time it was the lower lip. Then another day, upper lip. It depends on which over-dehydrated first.

Winter season? Oh yeah... behold. A wave of lip-biting weirdos are coming... Worse than Plants vs. Zombies.

I just felt the urge to remove that tiny, little area of dry epithelium immediately. Was almost an obsession, addiction maybe?

But hey, I will swim into medical practice soon. In another two and a half years, I mean. Hehe.  By the way, I'll start my fifth year in Kasr al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine by October 19.

So I need to stop. One day I could send wrong, inappropriate signals! Read this. Hope that I didn't send those awkward messages. Or I already did? Most importantly, I don't want to look disgusting to my friends. (lower my shoulders)

Just imagine, you're a guy. Double the drama, you're a shy type of guy. Off you go to the stage to present the most boring chapter on Earth, with pride, then just 15 minutes through the session, you glance at a side of the lecture hall.

There you saw a girl, biting her lower lip like she meant it towards you. Oh my. Although all she really did was hating lip balms or Vaseline.  They said it's good to change eye contacts once in a while during presentation. Public speaking thing. They said it would be for a better presentation. Sobs. Poor shy guy.

Hmm... I literally ruined too many first impressions before. (lower my shoulders even more)

Da da dum da da dee,
Let's just move on shall we?
Wee.

Weird.

Convergence

Oral examination or maybe the whole clinical year left huge impact on me. Two papers passed. I have not given my 100% this far.

Simple question, “Before that, do you know what is esotropia?”

I did not succeed to double read the last chapters. All came out blank. I didn’t dare to use whatever left in subconscious mind. All I know was that I didn’t double read that chapter. Hesitantly,

“…divergent squint…”

That nasty word, ‘divergent’. Such a humiliation to Ophthalmology and lecturers who taught us. To think again, I’ve memorized this too many times not to get confused.

eSotropia and eXotropia.

‘S’ comes before ‘X’. Hence, 'convergent before divergent' was how I remembered it.

Seriously, I deserved “Are you dumb?”  but they were so patient with student like me. There are more stupid answers but I am too embarrassed to share. I believe other classmates got better oral exam marks and moments than me.

I AM AN INSULT TO MEDICINE.

p/s: Lepas tu merayau-rayau kat member yang belum masuk exam sebab nak tahan nangis. Dahlah an insult, an annoyance pulak. Aduh.

"I don't remember any pumpkins," Mat Jenin Says

"Guys who don't focus on the work in front of them, don't have the right to talk about their dreams."
[Spoken by the character, Kuwabara Atsushi in Bambino, a Japanese drama series.]

These words answered one of my questions about big dream management, i.e. to push the wall of reality but still aim to reach for stars above. Or let us put it the other way, dream as big as you want, but remember, the present hour needs you too.

One of methods I profoundly agree to avoid being a Mat Jenin.

The line refreshed my first so-called dream for Medicine alive. It was technically made into a promise back then, witnessed by three officers and three other applicants during JPA Scholarship interview 5 years ago.

2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, late January 2013. Almost 5 years now.

I miss that Psychiatry-Psychology passion. As for the time being, let's just hope M will be more hardworking, right?

Safe Player

Tomorrow, at 1 pm, I'll be sitting for an OSPE (Objective Structured Practical Examination), better known as 'Practical Exam' among us, for the subject, 'Community Medicine'.

I have something to tell you. Practically,

I am a risk taker.

It was this whole MedTeam interview thing. One interviewer asked me to pick just one name I would prefer to call myself.

"I don't think I can describe myself any better than people around me. In most risky occasions, my friends often see me as a calm person. Even if you're taking risk, you're in ought to do it the right way." I said.

Yes. A brief example; If you like to skip class , do it systematically WITH good strategies and patterns. The lesser friends to join you, the lesser burden. (Read: skipping class is totally uncool, dude.)

or

A bizarre example; if you want to be an exam-oriented college chap, go through past years exam questions analysis. Read your professors' minds. Wait, there's more. Unsatisfied with the present the questions trend?

Manipulate your Head of Department decision makings. Get into his mind. Or what if, instead of studying for exams sake, make it no more exams. Once you reach the Head of Department's mind, you know what you have to do. Wink!

Amoi 1: Are you by any chance, delusional?
M: Yes.

I tried to justify the inappropriateness to stick to only one name .

"We have both sides inside us...," me making my answers longer. Possibly made my listeners bored.

My adrenaline engorged like crazy. But he kept provoking me.

"A risk taker, or safe player?"

He did well and somehow helped me knowing my own self.  I felt so unpleasant, so unfamiliar to be called, 'safe-player.' But I still wanted to try rationalize that there is no such thing as a 'safe-player'.

Amoi 2: Delusional, obsessive poor little girl...

Anyone taking safe choices has to bear different consequences too.

"So what's the differences? The safe players are taking chances too, by picking the so-called safest option. Hazards could be anywhere. In your closet, lavish winter coats, extra cheese pizzas and your warm, cute little bedroom. You know you can't really trust your seat belts anymore, don't you? The question is, who decides 'safety'? None!" I insisted in my little mind.

To end up the beating question,

"Risk taker."

Dengan nada pasrah. Haha.

p/s: I love all the interviewers! Thanks especially to 'him' for  spicing up our 'conversation', such an interactive way to interview. My apology for being so shakily unorganized in speech that day.

FOCUS

It was interesting. It was One Legacy Radio. A radio station filled with talks. There was a segment called, ‘Serenity’. The presenter was a female. She mentioned the word, ‘focus’ millions of times. The word stroked my heart.I humped a big load.

Not sure what was the topic, I figured the whole speech was closely related to sincerity, how we FOCUS our intentions for the sake of Allah.

We all have different struggles. Different patterns to match our capabilities. She mentioned ‘mujahadah’ too. As if understanding the struggle I’m going through every day where in certain circumstances I said,

“I’m so afraid of my own self.”
“I’m so tired I don’t change much.”

and

“Waa… I’m ugly outside and inside. I’m someone no one will marry." Dramas much? Tunjil kepala baru tau.

Amoi 1: Definitely overreacting.
M: Just kick me, ladies. :P

Turned left.  A white board written,

FOCUS. The best doctor Muslim in the making.

The fact where our visions get blurred sometimes.
The fact suddenly, a voice on radio repeating one of  words you jot on white board.

or

That critical moment, your chocolates are finished. Your hands twirling for more.  You walk back and forth in your own spacious room, mild addiction. Okay ignore this. Ngee~

p/s: Pseudomonas, Escherichia coli, Shigella, Salmonella typhi, Proteus...sequence rhyming in my brain.
Settle the bacteria, will settle the antibiotics. The Pharma-day will come soon.

Amoi 2: Tell me, your kitchen?
M: Cockroaches. INFESTATION! Kill them kill them all. Grr.

Chocolates Unite

Monday breakfast desert was Pharmacology Quiz.

"Indomethacin is one of the MOST potent COX enzyme inhibitors, NOT aspirin."

Later, moment I've been waiting for. It’s learning prescription writing. Since I was small, I've been wondering how a doctor can prescribe medications. My childhood common sense told me that there are thousands weird names to memorize. ‘Paracetamol’ was the first drug scientific name I've known. Thanks to TV ads.

"Ubat ini mengandungi kadar paracetamol yang dibenarkan."  at the end of the commercial.

I don’t know if I’ll have what it takes in prescribing. But there is one key for the medical practitioner to be. Someone said,

“Common diseases are common.”
May I add, if it’s uncommon, then supposedly my Plan B sounds like, flipping pages, Google or asking professionals. Lifetime learning in brief.

A prescription is something which has Superscription, Inscription, Subscription and Refill (the book says this is not usually necessary.) details. Basic format. Not to mention the doctor's signature, obviously. Daa.

“Berapa banyak –cription daa…,” whispered Siti Shahirah.
I was entertained.

When we're young, prescription is:

-Sakit: Demam
-Ubat: Demam, batuk, selsema.

and

-Sakit: Batuk
-Ubat: Batuk

Excitedly, scribbling amateur signature. At least the concept was there.

I guess my aunty was absolutely ‘genius’ to get me a sort of mini surgery/doctor-role-play/whatever the thing is ('dang' I couldn't find it anywhere on internet) set as a gift. I was a bit stressed at first because it can mean, “M, be a doctor. Be a doctor when you grow up. Be  doctor…!” ghost tone.

“Since when Im’ma be doctor?” a statement 15 years ago.

Horizons widen. I love Medicine. I love Pharmacology. Wee.

Amoi 2: Shut up.
M: Wee Wee Wee Wee Weeeeeeeee. Okay I’m done.

p/s: Love knowledge,  it will love you back. Yet, Allah's love is unconditional.

Someone remember this nasyeed? :) Suddenly  I do.

Ya El Medan

As you listen to one's experience, you'll meet successful and failed people in specific things such as competition, exam or even tackling one they fallen in love to. If this year you're sitting for Malaysia's well known big examination, Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), you'll be confused, all anxious and curious about what is going to happen. Typical responses of meeting new events.

During high school, when I was in Form 5, one motivator told, "Don't listen to failed people. They'll say to you that everything was too hard and terrify you."

Two years before (or maybe during primary school. I don't exactly recall.) one motivator said, "Failed people claim they had done everything or did the best but then failed whereas a succeed person is someone who's at first, hesitate what he done 'till he achieved tremendously, when people ask, "How?"."

Wouldn't you agree? Like most rules, not always but commonly.

I knew all of the failure-alert responses are just normal psychological defense mechanism even before I take Psychology subject at Cairo University last semester. Of course, mother is a full time high school counselor.

I lived for 20 years now. Alhamdulillah. Obviously, both success and failure are cures. Based on my limited knowledge, I summarize that you need accurate 'dose absorption proportions' for your own life story. Ordinary girl like me requires 90% from successful persons and 10% from failed ones. I suggest brave fellows  take both equally 100% where your profit will increase up to 200%. For ones with invincible mental components.

We need to analyze a failure for we are responsible to put innovative measures in fixing errors in their problem solving methods. And so, the 10% lesson. Amateurs need motivation more. I was wrong as I scared one junior about circumstances in Medicine even my intention was just to make her prepared for any outcomes. They still lack of identity. Most of juniors unable to guide but need examples or guidance.

It doesn't mean if you failed once, you'll fail forever. Especially Muslims, we are meant to be successful and guide human race to the right path. Girls, please do not  over-react after you heard of someone's failure. Take the lesson, learn (analyze), think and then act! Because failed people are meant to be muchmuchmuch MORE successful in the future and because they're strong ENOUGH for that particular failure.

I'm not speaking about failure. I'm speaking about success. My this year's personal theme is, 'Success and Greatness'. It will be a challenging one. The previous years were more laid back although I cried and forced myself to insomnia (thanks to caffeine) so that I finish re-memorizing the whole bunch of Anatomy books. Third year is like a transition from High School's  Form 3 to Form 4.

WED (11 / 01 / 11) Pathology, 10 am - 12 pm
SUN (15 / 01 /11) Parasitology, 10 am -11 am
WED (18 / 01 / 11) Pharmacology, 10 am - 12 pm

May Mid-Year Examination be a medium of thankfulness of a girl to her Lord.

What's your El-Medan?

p/s: I've tasted D's in Additional Mathematics (I think but usually B's or C's), Chemistry (because internet addiction LOL), very frequent B's and C's for all Science stream subjects, History (Silly teacher. Just because I wrote in point forms.   :P) and still wondering how people constantly got A1 in those, not in SPM (where there's graph adjusting). Bila jealous dlm hati cakap, "Skema betul mereka ni A memanjang."  Mesti kau org takut campur risau, pasal prestasi aku agak berbahaya.

Grow Bigger

Ini saya nak bagi alasan beli makanan luar hari ini. Alasannya berbunyi, "Kami habis kuliah pada waktu unggas kembali ke sarang."

Dengar khabar angin seorang rakan serumah nak beli Kusyari.

M: Cap Gajah Duduk. Kau diam.

Pelan rakus. Pertama, tempah Nasi Yaman untuk lima orang tolak si pemakan mi segera tadi. Kedua, makan nasi tu macam biasa. Kemudian, pada waktu ramai sedang leka cuba nak habiskan makanan masing-masing, buat muka tak cukup zat. Diikuti dengan, "Mintak ciket...!" ala-ala comel pula.

Amoi 2: "Echo, echo!"
M: Alahai. Boo 'Echo'. Boo!

Rupa-rupanya beli makanan lain. Tak ada Kushari untuk aku tagih.
Dua orang ahli beit tak sempat menjamah nasi tersebut. Pandai-pandailah bajet rembesan gastrik kalian ya...

(Bunyi kicauan burung, loceng rumah tu...)

Itulah dia, menu tanpa asap dapur kami. Nasi Yaman, Nasi Hadramaut atau Nasi Mandy Hadramaut dsb. Samalah tu agaknya. Pak cik delivery confirm faham punya...

Google jumpa dari SINI

Di atas itu bukan aku punya. Beit Humaira' pakai pinggan warna pink

Falsafah

Berebutlah.
Rebutlah ilmu.
Rebutlah kebaikan.
Berebut-rebut dalam keadaan buta?

Haha. Aku tiada komen.

Cuma minta jauh, minta supaya bukan kita orang-orang begitu.
And may us not to be mad judgmental.

Old and Unspotted

Subjek-subjek di bawah ini sungguh menarik!

Pharmacology
Pathology
Parasitology

Akan datang:-

Histopathology (esok)
Microbiology (mula minggu depan)

InsyaAllah, menarik juga hendaknya.
Namun, hati masih muram.

2 Oktober 2011, KLIA. Ingin sahaja aku ulang kata-kata,

"Kenapa bertemu untuk berpisah?"
(Filem 'Sepi')

Mode balik dari Malaysia, biasalah. Sayu. Tajuk Pelajar Perubatan Tahun Tiga buat aku rasa seram. Nak jadi attention seeker pun tak ada mood. Apatah lagi nak buat ucapan ringkas saat-saat akhir. Hehe. Tahniah buat pelajar Malaysia yang berucap tadi.

"It's not about the building."   Cuba teka ayat siapa? Huhu. Sampai seorang ahli beit dapat inspirasi.

p/s: terkenang macam-macam.

Summer Heat Grace

I think I'm enjoying this summer heat.

Pagi yg indah, gadis berbaju kurung berjalan-jalan nak beli ayam. Pakcik kedai buat lawak hambar tapi masih mampu buat aku ketawa. Post ni bakal jadi post yg trillion membosankan dari post-post sebelumnya. Sebab aku mulakan perenggan dgn gambaran rutin. Thus, I'll pick one subject out of the cliche to get into the focus.

Baju kurung.

Aku beli jubah ketiga aku. Sedihnya kerana suatu hari aku salah  bajet panas seterika, ohh hampir x dpt diselamatkan. But hey! It's still wearable...! Nada gedik.

Tahukah anda, nak2 waktu musim panas atau dlm cuaca negara beriklim hutan hujan khatulistiwa (tolong faham, aku dah lama tak kaji geografi), baju kurung sgt praktikal. Pengudaraan, pergerakan semuanya cantik. Tapi common sense la, musim panas ni kalau kau buat baju kurung pakai kain baldu atau kain yg buat winter coat tu, confirm la kau keji baju ni.

Pesak, pada bahagian lengan baju mmg banyak dah menyumbang keselesaan. Aku bayangkan, bolehkah kalau kita buat pesak pada jubah? Entah. Takut jadi pelik pula. Haih. yang pelik2 shj kau fikir M...

Amoi 1: Yang pelik2 itulah asas rekaan juga tau!
M: (smiling) Nak2 sekarang ni mcm2 tak mustahil.

Kalau kawan yg kenal M nak ckp, "Tiba2 je." dah kena dah tu pada tempatnya. Org lain tgh mood lain, tiba2 cerita baju kurung. Apalah. Lantak, malas nak delete dan edit. Heh.

Amoi 2: Op, opp... Sekarang kan summer, sesuai lah tu. Tadaa.
M: mode gadis melayu. Tetibe.

Cerita ttg baju kurung, mestilah sinonim dgn hari raya kan, kan kan... Huhu. Eh, tapi ingat... rebutlah keuntungan yg ditawarkan dlm bulan Ramadhan yg bakal menjelma ni. Itu nikmat lebih tak tergambar. Carilah keberkatan Ramadhan. Setahun hanya sekali. Org kata Ramadhan di Mesir meriah. Aku belum merasa genap Ramadhan di sini. Tak tahulah kalau2 ada tahun yg Allah takdirkan Ramadhan aku di sini. I'll be ready for that, insya Allah.

p/s: "Awak balik (Malaysia) sorang2 ke dgn 'kawan' tu?" tanya Kak NM
"Eh, eh... mana ada 'kawan'," jawab aku, pehal aku rasa mcm org kantoi lak ni? Seriously tak ada 'kawan' lagi. Haihh. Kot ye pun nak bergurau. Senior kesayanganku buat cuak je malam2 balik dari kelas tafsir Surah al-Furqan. Haihh. (mengeluh sekali lagi pasal belum ada 'kawan' kah? Haha.)

M's Straight Head

Because of this one person I never meet but so friendly, I made one short post to break down the silence of this humble blog. Mari layan M berpoyo-poyoan.

To begin with, let us recall one word, 'gratefulness'. I hope my beloved friends never forget to pray Allah put them amongst the grateful ones. Yes, sometimes by passion, we accidentally forgotten what we already have for dreams we have not yet accomplish. It is definitely not wrong to dream for the the highest, but should not forget what is still left with us. Feeling unsatisfied is a nature. Just do not let it eat you alive. Think about the remaining energy, loved ones and whatever arranged meticulously  by the All-Wise we still have.

That was what I learnt throughout my inferiority tangle. I know I am nobody since years ago. Thinking too much about what we don't have is wasteful. I realize there isn't much talent I can contribute compared to those I officially call as the GPs but I learnt 'gratefulness'. I still have something especially the faith, believing there is none but One. My marks are average and with ups and downs. Still, I believe Him. I am grateful. Hope this lasts 'till the last breath. If I break down, I know there are concerning people who send messages or wake me up back on track.

I want to remind that beyond praying for excellent achievements, should not forget to pray to be among the grateful ones, istiqamah and have the faith preserved.
Enough with the exams drama, I also want to remind that apart from praying for my exams results, do pray for a new laptop for me okay! Haha. And my Europe Tour vacation chance which has not yet come. Huh. Whatever.

p/s: It is too, an essay drilling. Imagining about extensive English classes other than Arabic. Need to uplift my language. I repeat, IMAGINING. Kih3
